Ellen Seiter holds the Stephen K. Nenno Chair in Television Studies at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. She is the author of The Internet Playground: Childen's Access, Entertainment and Mis-education (Peter Lang 2005), Television and New Media Audiences (Oxford ,1999), Sold Separately: Children and Parents in Consumer Culture (Rutgers, 1993). Seiter's most recent research is available in the form of an educational documentary: Projecting Culture: Perceptions of Arab and American Films. In the film, twelve USC students discuss American and Arab films in light of September 11 and war in the Middle East.
